Our next business meetings will be 

held shortly after the new semester begins.

Children of students welcome at any meetings and/or activities - we will have TV/VCR set up in the room and various safe children's toys and videos will be available for their entertainment while we meet.  Throughout the year we would like to add to our  video library and we also have a "Kidz Kart" that will be housed in the Student Services Office area which will be available to all students for use during meetings, campus events, study groups, etc.  so our children are welcome anytime they need to be here on campus with us!

"Head Start Community Sponsorship & Christmas Goodies Project"

         During the '02/'03 and '03/'04 academic years we were able to organize three different collection efforts here on campus.  The first one was for Christmas 2003  where we were able to sponsor a family of 6 and provide them with toys, gifts, food and clothing to make their Holiday Season much brighter!!  The second was wrapped up at the end of the school year and again we were able to bless various families with clothing, dishes, toys, groceries and other items collected on campus throughout May.  The third was for Christmas 2004 when we were again able to collect food, clothing and toys to sponsor several families involved in the Head Start program and provide many smiles around several trees on Christmas morning!!

        We held a two-week Christmas collection for families that are part of the Head Start Program.  It began in early December with boxes located in the hall and ended up with an entire Suburban stuffed full of presents for various families in the Head Start Program!!!  Not only did we have enough to give each one of the family of 6 several gifts and groceries but we also had many, many items which we took to Head Start unwrapped for the Parent Coordinators to decide which families needed them the most.  It was a wonderful adventure and all who participated were deeply touched!!  Many people were reached - both those who gave and those who received!!!  Thank you to all who joined us in making this effort to brighten the Christmas Season for a child/family a GIGANTIC SUCCESS!!!
