Alicia Stone
Hello! My name is Alicia Stone and this is my second year at UWMC. Up until my classes at UWMC, I was homeschooled in the Wittenberg-Birnamwood area. Being homeschooled allowed me the time to both focus on my studies and develop a love of swimming, art, music, and photography. I am looking forward to serving as an ambassador for UWMC this year as well as working on campus at the learning center. I love meeting new people and being able to help where I can, so feel free to stop by the learning center and say hi.

Amanda Muetzel
Hello, my name is Amanda Muetzel. I have lived in Wausau my entire life, and graduated from Wausau East High School (Home of the Lumberjacks) in 2008. I am a sophomore here at the UWMC, and so far the experience has been great. After I receive an associate’s degree I plan on transferring to Stevens Point to pursue a career in education, at this point I am still unsure as to what subject and grade level I would like to teach. I am very excited to be a part of the ambassador group this year, and looking forward to getting to know new people! I have a passion for helping others, so if you have any questions, concerns, or need a friend, please feel free to contact me! I look forward to meeting new faces… an experience that the school year of 2009-2010 has in store. Have a great year and see you around.

Richard Delano
My name is Richard Delano, and I am pleased to be serving as an ambassador for the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County. I am planning to earn my BSA. in Nursing, then get my Master in Nurse Anesthesia at UW-Lacrosse. I graduated in Neenah 22 years ago, so I am a non-traditional student who feels like I am starting my life all over again, with the support of my wife Lynn and kids Ricky (17) and Alesha (13). I love anything to do with the outdoors and spending time with my family.

Starting my quest at UWMC was scary at first and I will try to help anyone make their stay here a pleasant one. One piece of advice I like to share is, if you need help do not assume that it not there or that it is limited. Just keep asking–soon you will find all the help you need. If you see me around and need something or simply to say hi, then just stop me. I will find time to spend with anyone

Josh Clauss
Hello my name is Josh Clauss. This is my sophomore year here at UWMC, and I’m planning on transferring to UW-La Crosse after this year to finish my degree in Business-Accounting. I commute here to campus everyday from my hometown of Bowler. I have a passion for hunting, fishing, and movies. I enjoy being an ambassador for the university because it gives me an opportunity to get involved in the campus activities and also some community events as well. If you have any questions, just stop me in the hallway and ask.

Mollee Zahurones
Hello Everyone! My name is Mollee Zahurones and this is my second year in attending UWMC. I have very much enjoyed my time here at the MC, and am grateful for the advantage it has given me for when I transfer to another campus. Next year I plan on attending Steven's Point or Eau Claire for a degree in Speech Pathology. Hopefully everyone's year is going well, and I wish everyone the best of luck with their studies :)

Heidi Wiltzius
My name is Heidi Wiltzius and this will be my third year attending UW-Marathon County. I am considered a non-traditional student, as a twenty-five year old parent. The major that I am pursuing is secondary Spanish education, which I will be transferring to the UW-Stevens Point the next school year to complete. Education is a passion of mine and I especially enjoy studying languages and cultures. As an ambassador and a future educator I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. If anyone has a question about the campus or the opportunities that it offers, I am pleased to help.

Nate Bartz
Hello, my name is Nate Bartz and I am from Wausau. After this year I plan to transfer to University of Wisconsin-Madison Business School. There I plan to double major in Accounting and Personal Finance. After getting my degree I hope to find a job in an accounting firm somewhere in central Wisconsin. My education thus far at the UWMC has been outstanding because of the amount of money I have been able to save and the tight-knit environment that the MC offers. I encourage all students to take advantage of the university because of the great class ratios and ease of meeting and getting to know your professors. I am laid back and easy going and I plan on meeting some new faces this upcoming school year.

Cora Schmidt
My name is Cora Schmidt and I am a sophomore here at UW-Marathon County. I am planning on pursuing a career in chiropractics as well as massage therapy. As well as attending UW-Marathon County I also will be attending the Health Touch Spa School of Massage Therapy. I plan on attending UWMC for two more years and then finish my schooling down in Florida. I really enjoy attending UWMC, there are many student activities to get involved in. By attending school at UWMC I was able to play volleyball on the UWMC volleyball team. I am also an IT student worker here on campus where I help out with any technology needs for students as well as faculty and staff. I am excited to meet back up with old friends as well as meeting new students here on campus. Have a wonderful year!!

Dan Ehmke
Hello, my name is Dan Ehmke. I am a non-traditional student, majoring in business. Previously, I owned a business from 1998 to 2003. I decided to go back to school so I could pursue my dream of owning a restaurant. My motto is “If you think you can, you will.” In being a non-traditional student, I am familiar with the trials and tribulations of finding time to study in a life that already exists beyond school life.
I am proud to represent the UWMC as a student ambassador because it gives me the opportunity to meet new people as well as send a message of good will to new students. As an ambassador, I will encourage everyone that coming to the UWMC is the best start for your future, no matter your age. I look forward to seeing you in the halls and in class, and feel free to of stop me if you have a question. Thank you and have a great year.

Anna Spiegelberg
Hi I'm Anna Spiegelberg, I am a sophomore here at UWMC. I really enjoy attending the MC because of how friendly the teachers are here, every teacher is really here to help you. I grew up in Manawa, it's a small town 30 minutes east of Stevens Point. I really love it there because my family and friends are there. As far as my major goes I am still undecided, hopefully figuring something out soon though. I'm really looking forward to another awesome and successful year here at UWMC!

Jamee Slaminski
Hello I am Jamee Slaminski. I am currently starting my second year at the UWMC. I am majoring in Psychology and plan to transfer to UW- La Crosse in the Fall of 2010. I enjoy all of the opportunities the UWMC has to offer and encourage everyone to take advantage of such opportunities. If anyone has any questions or concerns feel free to contact me.

Jeri Blumenstein
My name is Jeri Blumenstein, and this is my second year as an Ambassador at UWMC. I truly enjoy being an ambassador because it gives me an opportunity to meet new potential students and I love showing them what our campus has to offer.
I am a non-traditional student and I also work for the Student Union, so stop by and say "HI."

I look forward to working with all the other ambassadors this year. There are many fun opportunities the program offers, so I hope to see many of you there. I am honored to be a part of the program once again.

Emily Kolbeck
Hello I am Emily Kolbeck. This is my third year of attendance at the University of Wisconsin Marathon County, and I still love it. My major is business administration, and I am doing the collaborative degree program through UW-Stevens Point in order to obtain my Bachelors Degree here. Outside of my academic life, I ballroom dance, sing, and am very involved in intramural athletics. The ambassador program is wonderful, as I learned through participation last year, and I am blessed to have been asked to serve again this year. Have a great year, everybody.

Rylan Hoerter
Hello, my name is Rylan Hoerter. I am currently attending my second year at the MC. I have had nothing but positive results from going to school in my home town. I have had the honor of saving a lot of money, and meeting some of the most triumphant and nicest people. I don’t have any plans for school in the future other than transferring to a school that would best fit my necessities. Finding a major has been my biggest challenge so far, but I look forward to meeting new people and finding the correct path for the rest of my life.
