Course Description:
The purpose of this course is (1) to introduce the sociological concepts and theories regarding minority-majority relations among racial ethnic groups; (2) to use these concepts and theories to understand the experiences of some major racial ethnic groups in American Society; and (3) to deepen our understanding of the American experience with some knowledge of racial ethnic relations in other countries.

2 Exams: 120 Points 60 points in each exam (50 point multiple choice questions and 10 point short answer questions). The exams will cover both the textbook and CLASS LECTURES. |

One 5-8 page Essay: 30 points Due on the last class before final exam. |

Makeup exams or quizzes will be given only for documented excused absences. The student must make up the exam or quiz WITHIN ONE WEEK from the last date of the excused absence. You have to take the makeup exam or quiz during my office hours. Otherwise, a grade of zero will be assigned.
