WAPT is a section of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT). The goal of the WAPT is to advance and diffuse the knowledge of physics, especially as it pertains to the teaching of physics.

The 2007 WAPT was held at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI on October 26-27. The Program Director for the meeting was Melissa Vigil. If you have any questions about the meeting contact Melissa or check the meeting website.

The plenary (banquet) speaker for the 2007 meeting was Diandra Leslie-Pelecky (Univ. of Nebraska-Lincoln). Her talk was titled "Built for Speed: NASCAR Physics." On Saturday, before the luncheon, Robert Hilborn (Senior Physics Fellow for College and University Programming at AAPT) discussed the future of AAPT.

The 2008 WAPT meeting will be held at Chippewa Falls Senior High School on October 10-11. The Program Director for the meeting is Paul Nevins. If you have any questions about the meeting contact Paul.
