The UW Colleges Library Mission Statement

The mission of the 13 UW Colleges Libraries is to actively support the students, faculty, and staff in their intellectual growth and development by acquiring, maintaining, promoting and making accessible the materials and services appropriate for the freshman/sophomore liberal arts transfer program. The collections provide challenge and enrichment for each UW College student while the personnel offer support and guidance in the most effective use of materials and services.

The structure of the UW Colleges facilitates cooperation among the UWC Libraries. Each campus library has unique strengths. These strengths are readily shared with the other UWC Libraries, resulting in optimum resource sharing. These resources are also to be shared with the citizens in the service area of each of the campuses.
