Tips for
Daily Studying

Study in a quiet, well-lighted place.
▪
Review class notes taken that day.
▪
Complete all homework assignments.
▪
Read all material that the instructor may cover during the next lecture.
▪
Underline, highlight, or take notes as you read (use only one side of the paper
– makes it easier to lay them out to study from).
▪
Keep an academic calendar/planner and to-do lists to manage your time and keep
up with assignments.

Take time to spend with friends and family.
▪
Get a good night’s rest so that you are refreshed and alert.
Tips for the Classroom

Take 10 minutes to look over notes from the previous days lecture and/or
completed homework.
▪
Sit in or near the front of the class.
▪
Be prepared – notebook, pen, pencil, textbook, calculator, etc.

Focus your attention.

Take good notes – get the main points – not every word.
