The Robert W. Monk Gardens are Northern Wisconsin's first public botanical gardens. Designed to create a place of beauty for all, the Gardens will evolve over time, revealing new and lush gardens designed to excite all the senses while simultaneously providing a place where all can grow their minds and bodies surrounded by the beauty of nature.
The twenty plus acre property was generously donated by Robert W. Monk, a long time resident of Wausau, Wisconsin. Mr. Monk's dream to create a public garden for the residents of Wisconsin and all who visit our region has been adopted by countless members of the community, making the Gardens a true work of community involvement."
