Admissons

At the request of the Student Government at the University of Wisconsin Marathon Center, noted civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke in Wausau on May 12, 1967. Because the campus theater was too small Dr. King spoke in the Marathon Park Youth Building. He was introduced by James W. Perry, student government president, who later became the campus dean at UW-Fox Valley.
