Area Resident and Community User Library Policies
Area residents are welcome to use the UW Marathon County Library. Not only are you welcome to research, browse and use materials here, but you also have CIRCULATION PRIVILEGES! You may check out all circulating materials for the standard loan periods.
How do you get a "library card" in order to check out items?
Upon presentation of a driver's license or other valid Wisconsin picture I.D. showing a current address, individuals who are 18 years or older may register for a free borrower card. We will take your name, I.D. number, address and phone number to enter into our patron database. We will have you sign a borrower card and laminate it for you. Upon subsequent visits, simply present your borrower card in order to check out additional items.
What else should you know about the library privileges?
To renew a loan (one time per item), please stop by or call the library at 715-261-6220.
We are not able to offer interlibrary loan (ILL) services to community borrowers. Our ILL services are limited to current UW-Marathon County students, faculty, and staff. You may obtain ILL services at your local public library, which has access to all the same materials via ILL that we do.
Please ask for assistance whenever we can be of help. Library staff members are here to help.
Maximum number of items that can be checked out is 5.
