This award was initially established in 1986 and further in 1996 in the will of Fred W. Appel (a former employee of Wausau Insurance) in honor of his wife, Anita, an artist and former student at UWMC. It provides for each recipient to travel to an international country with a group of students and UWMC art faculty in late spring or in summer. |
