We decided to get hitched on December 29, 2003, and on August 17, 2004, the months of dedicated planning came to fruition at Riverside Park in Merrill, WI. What we called our "destination wedding" (destination: Lincoln County)

Our lovely friends Nancy Chick and Peter Davidson of Rice Lake, Wisconsin joined us to serve as witnesses to the event, which was conducted by Holly Lutz, justice of the peace.

After a standard and decidedly unoriginal declaration of vows, we were at last declared husband and wife and kissing went on, as photo documentation reveals. After bidding adieu to our witnesses and JOP, we made for honeymoon heaven: Wisconsin Dells, WI

Honeymoon Fun: Wisconsin Dells, WI is the tourist trap, er, wait, according to the publicity materials "the Midwest's Number One Vacation Destination," so we decided to take them up on that offer. We enjoyed natural wonders like kayaking on Mirror Lake and kitschy and campy attractions like Alien Planet, Tommy Bartlett's Robot World, Wizard Quest, as well as enjoyed fine vegetarian and Indian cuisine.
