INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK



International Education Week/Celebration of Languages III was celebrated at NTC on November 16 from 6:00-8:00pm. Over 100 third and fourth grade students, along with 30 Horace Mann Spanish Language students and 24 NTC international students celebrated international education week with food, song, quizzes and crafts.

SCHOOL TRAVEL

D.C. Everest
Ann Berns is planning a trip to France with her students for the summer of 2007.
Wausau
Nineteen Spanish students went to Spain on March 23,2006. They visited Madrid, Granada, Sevilla and the Costa del Sol. They were accompanied by Laura Place of Wausau East.

There is an ACIS trip to France from July 16-26, 2007. The trip includes visits to Paris, the Loire Vally, Monet’s Gardens at Giverny, St. Malo on the English Channel, St. Michel, Versailles and the French Riviera cities of Nice, Monoco and Cannes. Rebecca Zelent of Wausau East is planning this trip.

A Wausau West trip to France is taking place this summer from July 17- July 27. Kara Torkelson is planning this trip. West is also planning a homestay/exchange for 2007.

Merrill
Susan Jaeger is planning to take a group of students to Costa Rica in the spring of 2007.

SPEAKERS BUREAU

North Central Technical College

NTC’s international students are available to give presentations on their Countries. (Mexico, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Germany, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua) They are willing to go to any level from elementary to college.
