Guaranteed Transfer
The mission of the UW Colleges is to provide the first two years of an undergraduate education. With few and minor exceptions, we offer the same first two-year experience as any school in the UW System. And we do so with a total commitment to quality teaching and learning, at a level of teacher-student interaction that rivals that of any school in the country.
The UW Colleges Guaranteed Transfer Program allows students to start their education at the freshman level at any UW Colleges campus and be guaranteed an admission to any UW institution as a junior. After fulfilling specific credit and grade point average requirements, a student can transfer to any baccalaureate school in the UW System with the same rights and privileges as those who begin their education at the baccalaureate institution. For more information about the program, please check the UW Colleges Transfer Information page.
For specific information about the Astronomy program offered at a specific campus, please contact the instructor(s) at that campus or the Chair of the Department.
Specific Course Transfer
If you would like to know how a specific course would transfer to a specific baccalaureate institution in the UW System, please consult the UW System Transfer Information System's Wizard engine. It allows you to choose any of our courses (offered at the specific UW Colleges campus that you plan to attend), and a specific baccalaureate institution to which you would like to transfer, and it displays the exact current transfer course equivalencies.
