Admission Requirements
Anyone who desires a University education will be considered for
admission to The University of Wisconsin-Marathon County.
Prospective students should apply early. For further information:

Returning Adults:
At UWMC it’s easy to start or continue your education.
Returning adult advisors Libby
Heidmann and Patti Thwaits
are dedicated to meeting the needs of students over the age of 21.
They are available to assist with academic advising, career
development, financial aid, childcare aid and the development of
services to meet the needs of returning adult students.
Admission Requirements
| Type of Student | Definition |
| New Freshman Students | High school graduates or GED/HSED holder. Applicants who have been out of school for two or more years should contact the Office of Student Services for clarification of their admission status. |
| Transfer Students | Students who have attended another college and are in good standing |
| Returning Students | Previously enrolled but not enrolled at a UW Colleges campus in prior semester |
| Special Students | Non degree seeking; enrolled for six credits or less |
| High School Special Students | High school students who have exhausted the offerings of their schools may enroll in University courses prior to graduation. More information: www.uwc.edu/admissions/definitions/high-school/ |
| International Students | Students attending another country w/o citizenship |
| Auditors | Students seeking no academic credit |
